The lucky winner is from Binley and has been an avid player for many years, going to the Gala Savoy Club, in Radford Road, Radford, once or twice a week.

She hit the jackpot Sunday, October 31, taking the national bingo game prize of £100,000, plus the regional prize of £2,102 and the house prize of £165. Her previous biggest win was £1,000.

The woman, who has asked not to be identified, works in the distribution business and her husband is employed in the car trade.

They have four daughters, a grandson and another grandchild due next year.

She said: "I still can't believe it. It was such a shock when they announced how much I had won.

"Number eight, the last number I needed for the full house is my lucky number now.

"What a fantastic win and just before Christmas too. I will have a new kitchen with the money and a good holiday next year.

"And of course we will treat the family."
