It is not the best time for the Italian industry of bingo and the hopes of professionals are (still) related to the debut of interconnected bingo. But to see what happens, they will have to wait for next year.
Interconnected Bingo is today the topic at the center of attention for operators of electronic bingo. The postponement of the new game modes prepared by the Judges of Lazio’s Second Chamber of Regional Administrative Court has not lowered the spotlight on the most awaited by the operators of electronic bingo, awaiting the arrival of interconnected bingo since it was introduced by a decree of AAMS.
The Administration of State Monopolies- against whom the appeal of “AssoBingo” was addressed- could in turn resort to court in an attempt to unblock the situation and anticipate the works for the launch of the new game modes without having to wait (at least) until the end of March, to hear the final verdict of the TAR.
Meanwhile, associations of bingo managers are trying to understand what may be the results of the forthcoming decision of the Court of Lazio. According to “FederBingo” chairman: “there are reasons to believe that nothing will change the rules of the game, and if so, it does not mean the death of interconnected bingo, but the expectations that all dealers put in the long-awaited game modes and so they will have to wait, without any perspective, the expiration of our concessions”.
