A woman was playing bingo at Bingo Lomas de Mirador in Buenos Aires and won 35,000,000 Argentinean pesos (about $11,500,000).
The only problem is that Codere S.A. says that the bingo machine had a display problem, because the maximum prize that the machine can pay is 35,000 Argentinean pesos.
The Province Lottery, that controls the online system and all the bets made (because they charge owners a percentage of the money bet) informed that there was no failure in the control system, demonstrating that the error was in the machine.
Codere representatives said that paying that amount would be unfair to other winners because they all know the maximum prize -the maximum amount given by the game is written in the front of the machine-.
The claim will be solved by the justice system, determining which of the parts is right.
