The police have spent some time checking the bingo rooms, last week they went over 18 rooms and seized almost 5,000 illegal slot machines in Rio de Janeiro. There had to be used 40 trucks in order to be able to take the machines, which are thought to have illegally imported parts inside and therefore they can’t be used in the country.

The police went to the 18 bingo rooms on Saturday and seized 5,000 illegal machines in Rio de Janeiro, according to the information given by the authorities.

“Importing parts for these machines is illegal in Brazil and we don’t have any local companies that make them here, that is why the logical conclusion is that they are illegal”, the Federal Police investigator, Cristiano Sampaio, said.
